Today I turned 24 years old (happy birthday for me 🥳), also on this same day I started to do magic when I was 12 years old so it's been 12 years (which is half my age) doing magic inspiring people and putting a smile on there faces. And now I am creating a new magic effect called 3 stages of life.

For me magic is not about deceiving people or something, but instead it's about inspiring them and helping them to smile. Magic is the source of hope to me, because as a magician our job is to do the impossible, which means everything can be done like my goals and this is what I like about magic there is no limits to what you can do.

During my 12 years of doing magic I have mastered card magic and learned from it a lot of lessons. So today I wanted to share with you all the lessons I have learned from doing magic for 12 years and still counting.

Lesson Number one: Impossible is Nothing

Let me ask you a question, what is the meaning of magic in the first place 🤔 ? For me magic is seeing something that is so rare to see and so beautiful to the point where you winder how it was created, due to how impossible it's and this is magic to me.

Like this photo of the sky at 4:00am it's so magical for me.

Due to the fact that it is so beautiful you can't believe it's there and I bit you if you told someone that you saw a purple sky they will not believe you, why ? it's impossible they say.

Same as having an Ai tool that can easily create a photo of you or the fact that David blain can do that:

All of those things are magic, it doesn't have to be voodoo staff 😅 as people think.

NOTE

Disclaimer all the things you see on tv or any where are just well designed tricks, but the reason why we call it magic is the fact that it's impossible for other people and rare to see.

For us as a magician to be able to create staff and perform in the best way, we must believe that there is no limitations and that there is nothing called impossible.

Our job as magicians is to do the impossible and to do it well we must believe in our selfs too and this is the secret behind all the magic you see on the internet.

When I started to impress this in my life, I started to feel unstoppable, why? I have no limits. I truly believe that everything is possible. I don't just apply that to magic but I apply it to everything I do in my life (like software).

I really encourage you to start impressing this quality and you will see a life full of possibilities and you will unlock a part of you that you never seen before.

Lesson Number Two: Patience

if you don't know that, for us as magicians to be able to master one move it may take years to be able to do it right, this requires a huge amount of patience to be able to manage all the failing attempts through the way.

For example to be able to do this card move it took me about 3 years and I have just managed to do it a couple of days ago 😅.

Form it I learned to be patient in everything in my life, because I learned that patience is the key for success of anything in life. When I started my career as software engineering, I only got 4 interviews in a whole year and was rejected in all of them.

But instead of giving up I kept going, learning and creating open source projects on GitHub. Finally after waiting I got an internship without an interview 😅 this is because my projects were enough for them to know that I am worth it and then I signed a full time job with them.

This is the secret ingredient for success…patience which gives you all the resilience to go through all the painful failing attempts, which you have to go through to succeed.

Lesson Number Three: Consistency

On of the things that helped me in my journey in magic is … Consistency. In the beginning I used to practice and preform magic to strangers every day, this made me amazing in what I do in a very short time.

To the point where I was able to perform and shuffle cards blind fold like so:

I found a connection with my cards which made me and the cards kind of one part which resulted in being able to do amazing things with my cards. This is the kind of magic power you can have after staying consistent with the thing you are patient about.

After applying the same strategy to my coding skills, I become unstoppable when it comes to writing swift code. I reached a point where I can debug, find and solve a bug in the code without Xcode or seeing the code. you may ask how 🤔 ? By just imagining the code and using my mind as the debugger. Simple Right 😅 ?

So if you want to have a unique connection with your craft consistency is the answer to you.

NOTE

For me the definition of consistency is working everyday even in the weekend, even if it’s very small as 5 minutes in a day.

In the End

For me learning magic was one of my core stones in my life, it taught me a lot when I was young and I still learn from it a lot.

I encourage you to try applying the above principles in your life and you will instantly see the change in a couple of weeks.

if you looked at all the successful people (or as I like to call them legends like David Blain, Steve Jobs and many more) you will find that all of them have the above principles in there personality.

This is why I like to call them keys to becomaing legendary 🚀
